Covering Vientiane for today. It is considered the most "memorable" country for the 4D3N stay. Many things happened...

Firstly, the flight to Vietiane was delayed due to the late arrival of the plane. 30 mins. it was a long wait esp when we had to check in 1.5hrs earlier. now the waiting time became 2hrs. it was ard 7plus at night when we finally arrived. and guess wat? our luaggage nvr arrived... onli 5 out of 30 came. however, it was reported that only 9 of the luaggage were not here. *faintz* they said that the plane was unable to carry the rest of the luaggage, thus, they were still in hanoi!!!

we got frustrated and upset. p and his wife too... esp when filling out the lost baggage form. lol... we were not allowed to fill in the form ourselves. and there was only one person from the baggage service to fill up the 25 forms and it was so slow. soon came another helper. but still the same. the whole thing took a very long time. a station manager came and said that their boss was out to another province. p & e tried to argue and they were very frustrated over this. haha... p was as usual... "according to the international law, blah blah blah.." lol... it was already nearing 10 when the whole thing ended. before we left, we took pic of the station manager in case we could not find him the next day. (scared that he would run away to another province to escape from us!!!!!)

the tour guide here was extremely useless. p called him "bo yong zai"!!! haha... he told us to go back to the hotel first when one of our frens went to tell him that our baggage nvr arrived. and he kept hurrying us to go to the bus and head for dinner. so useless~ e took care of everything and planned for everything. it was good to have her ard! so after our case, we went for dinner before gg to the convenient store to buy our toiletries so that we could bathe that night and change our undergraments. p was cute... when we came out from the security check, he said one phrase "wao lao eh.." hahaha... sense of humor~

bleh.. after we got on the bus with our toiletries, we reached our hotel in less than a minute. it was within walking distance lor... and the hotel sucks... well, as p said, everything was within 5km walk. hahhaa... there was even a shopping center in front. anyway, the stay in lao was not a good experience for me.

we got to know that the guide had onli taken two tour groups and we were one of them. and this was the largest group. the other group had only 2 pple! the worst tour guide ever... he din even tell us the history of the places we were visitng, where and wat time to meet after our free & easy tour ard the places, and the interesting places we had to visit in lao. omg... and we think that he pocketed most of our money. we saw several 3-star hotels and they were superior to the one we were staying in. and the food... we had one international buffet at the airport and it cost onli 5.50usd... we were supposed to have 7usd/pax for each meal! and we went back to a restaurant twice for dinner -- the first night and the last night! everything was "wrong"!

we were brought to look at the mekong river on the second day before dinner. took a few pictures. here's the sunset that i took.

nice right?

after that, we went for western dinner at khop chai deu restaurant-bar. we missed western food for so long, esp french fries. lol... so that night, the four of us shared pizza, fries, chicken steak, satay, spaghetti, and dessert! drank beerlao that night too.. lol.. the order was very messy coz they dun have a table number and we ordered in groups. in the end, the pple do not not who order what. everything was in chaos! thus, in the end, there was two undelivered jugs of beer. so we shared. and there was money left over, so each group had two bottles of champagne!

oya... the station manager came that night to have dinner with us. the main purpose was to let us sign the document that we did not when we collected out luaggage and also to distribute our $$... hahaha... one trip to laos can earn me some usd... hahahhahahaa..... he was cute. e even helped to find out whether he was married or attached. lol.. j was very excited to noe that he was not married and attached and kept toking to him and also took a lot of pictures with him. ;D too bad.. he is too short for me though... ;p

well, the third day, we were brought to visit That Luang (Royal Stupa) and were left on our own. he nvr introduced the place to us. p decided the time and place to meet. these are the pics taken...

next, we went to the morning market. it was about to close when we reached there. so we did a quick shopping to see what was there to buy. in the end, we bought sarong and cuttlefish slices...

the last night in lao. the four of us went out at night to buy street food so that we could spend all the lao currency. we had chicken drumstick (not nice but look nice), roti indlia, youtiao (that looked like the fried butterfly) and currypuff (filling was pork and taro) and of coz our champagne!

well, there were two other experiences i had in laos. one is quite funny and the other quite scary. eeeek.... i will not mention here...

so in the end, we went back to the airport everyday. 1) when we arrived 2) to collect our baggage 3) for the international lunch buffet 4) to fly to hcm. lol...

here, the night falls faster too and everywhere was very dark with little streetlights on. so, have to be careful when you go out at night!
